Tonight is the night. Every year on the 11th of november as soon as the Night falls we Dutchies celebrate Dutch Trick or Treat. Once a year on Sint Maarten kids light up their paper lantern walk the streets, ring a door bell, sing a song and receive a sweet treat! Our Treat will be Manderins & Tiny Tony Chocolonely chocolates.

 Allerzielen in het Vondelpark

♥ Share the Light, Spread Love, Celebrate Life & Death! ♥

Zondag 2 november is het de dag van Allerzielen. Een dag waarop de zielen van dierbare overledenen herdacht worden. En tegelijkertijd een dag dat het leven gevierd word. Speciaal voor Allerzielen kan men vandaag dit op bijzondere wijze gedenken in het Vondelpark te Amsterdam. Iedereen is welkom om een lichtje te ontsteken die men vervolgens in de grote vijver de nacht in laat drijven ter herinnering van een overleden dierbare. Er worden vanavond kaarsjes, lucifers en  drijflantaarns aangeboden. Er is zelfs de mogelijkheid om deze te versieren met  de diverse aanwezige decoratie materialen als; viltstiften, verse bloemen, veertjes, briefjes met eigen geschreven teksten, etc., etc.. Een mooi symbolisch gebaar, een ode aan de doden, om  gezamenlijk het verdriet te delen en  om op toegankelijke wijze te laten zien hoe verlies onderdeel uitmaakt van het leven ♥
